2025 Book Plans

Somehow it’s already almost May. This year seems to want to get away from me, but I’m determined to not end it without another book release. I have not one, but two books I’m finishing up for publication. If you want to keep up with new releases, ARCs, or other news, make sure you subscribe to my newsletter. Subscribers get sneak peeks before anyone else.

My next book to make it out into the world will be The Driftcap Inn, a cozy fantasy set on an inn in trouble featuring found family and an MM romance. I’m aiming for Howl’s Moving Castle meets Legends & Lattes vibes. I hope to have release date news and other fun peeks hitting my newsletter and social media channels before long. While this book is a standalone, it will be the first book in The Innkeepers of Itharos series, a series of standalone books that will each feature a different inn in the world of Itharos.

I also have my next trilogy in the works, a historical fantasy set in 1930s Pittsburgh. The Steel City Sorcerers series starts with The Fantastic Fae Folly. The mix of academia, whimsy, and faeries will appeal to Emily Wilde fans. This one required historical research, which meant writing it takes longer than my cozy standalones. I also plotted out the full trilogy while writing the first book because I fear nothing more than getting partway through a series and wishing I could make a bunch of changes to previous books. This book has been fun despite the research slowing things down. I’ve visited local spots I may not have otherwise, and discovered some local history I didn’t know about.

I expect my next few releases will be me switching between these two series. Cozy standalones move faster, and so I like having multiple projects in the works so that one project doesn’t hold everything up. I have several ideas for Innkeepers of Itharos I’d like to explore. Eventually I’ll liked to squeeze another book in the SerendipiTea series in my publication schedule, but for now my creative well has needed the switch to new projects.

Both of these new books will have hardback copies this time and feature illustrated artwork from talented artists.
