I like switching up what boxes I get each month, and this month decided to try out Bruu. I enjoyed the initial gifted box I received and wanted to try out a true subscription. To find out more about Bruu you can check out my intro post on them here. This time I made a profile and got a taste for their personalization options. I was able to add no gluten, which is great being a celiac, and I axed tea types I’m generally not a fan of, which I appreciate being able to do. Overall I was very pleased with the three teas I got this month.
What I got:
The snack was chocolate instant porridge by the Great British Porridge co. This tasted exactly like you’d expect from instant oatmeal, but I found it fun to try out a British brand. It’s fun getting access to snacks I wouldn’t buy in my local stores.
My favorite tea was the Breakfast Bruu, a black breakfast tea that is a mix of ceylon and assam. I love this tea because it is smooth with a nutty note that made for a great morning pick me up. This tea was so good that I plan to buy more of it and I love when a box manages to send me tea I enjoy enough to buy more of it. Those home runs are what keep me interested in trying the monthly boxes.
I also received two blended teas. Royal Star is a blend of green sencha and oolong mixed with fruit and vanilla. This was a sweeter tea with a creamy hint.
Angel’s Kiss is a green tea blended with papaya, pineapple, and strawberry. This one is very fruity with a mix of sweet and tart. I tried this one hot, but I think it’d make a great iced tea.
