Five Months of Bruu Tea

For my first post with all the details about the Bruu Tea subscription box and how it works, go here. Bruu is a gourmet tea subscription box from the UK that ships internationally. I’ve enjoyed it enough that I’ve continued to get the box after being sent a free trial box. I’ve really enjoyed the selections of this box since it does a lot of nice blended teas but also some great breakfast teas. It also lets me make my box gluten free including the snack they send. I also enjoy the discover tea info cards as well because I love learning about tea.

I’ve had enough boxes that I’ve decided it’s time for a big round up. Looking for examples for some of the teas you might receive in a Bruu Box? Well here is several months’ worth of tea starting with my July 2021 box and working my way back. Follow me on instagram for more tea reviews. Interested in getting your own box? You can use my affiliate link to check them out.

July 2021

More fruity chai this month.

Famous dragon, a blend of sencha, kukicha, and pai my tan.

Magic moon, a black and green tea blend with papaya.

The discover tea of the month is a green tea from Dien Bien Phu province in Vietnam.

June 2021

The discovery tea of the month is an organic lemongrass from Thailand.

I also got Royal star (a blend of sencha and oolong), fruity chai, and surianalle black tea. This strong black tea makes for a good breakfast tea, but it is very fine, making it difficult to strain out.

The treat of the month was a s’mores Mallow & Marsh bar.

May 2021

I got champagne tea, a green and white tea blend with peach and sultanas.

Uni-tea, a herbal blend with notes of mint.

Orange ice cream, creamy orange mixed with vanilla.

The discover tea of the month is Satemwa Hibiscus from Malawi and the snack I got is raspberry flakes by fruit bowl.

March 2021

Angel’s Kiss a fruity green tea

Royal star a blend of green Sencha and oolong with fruit and vanilla
Breakfast Bruu a black breakfast tea

The discover tea of the month is a chamomile tea from the Lozan Dam Plantation in Croatia

The special treat is a gluten free chocolate instant porridge

Octoboer 2020 Trial Box

KTDA, a black tea also known as the Kenya Tea Development Agency. This tea is from the famous Kangaita estate on Mt. Kenya.

Orange ice cream, a fruity tea with creamy orange, vanilla, and tangy apple.

Spring beginnings, a green tea that is a mix of green, white, and pai mu tan teas.

I also received a blueberry almond kind bar as the surprise gift and a bonus sample of Turkish Rize tea.

And there you have it! Bruu lets you rate the teas you receive and so far I only had one or two “binned” in the rating system because they just weren’t quite to my personal tastes. I’m also still in love with Bruu Breakfast and plan to continue receiving boxes even as I try other new boxes.
