As I continue to try new teas, I’ve started trying out book-themed teas. They are the perfect combination of my love for tea and books. Sometimes I buy based on the books they are inspired by, other times based on the flavor profiles. One of the shops I recently bought a few samples from is Call Me Sweetea. This shop offers book-themed teas, mugs, and accessories. Their instagram is also full of gorgeous tea photos. The shop is run by Dani, a long-time bookstagramer.
I ordered a handful of samples to start with. Dani sent me a hand written note along with the tea, which I thought was a great personal touch. I tried some, black teas, a green tea, and a honeybush tea. Dani offers an impressive amount of book teas, enough that everyone should be able to find a book they’ve enjoyed. The shop has black, green, and herbal teas.

I ordered more than three teas, but these are great examples of some of the offerings from book teas to the fair blends. The Yum Cookies was a great black dessert tea. It’s also one of the teas from the Oregon County Fair blends. With the fair blends, 15% of the proceeds goes to the White Bird Clinic charity in Oregon, which provides services to the low-income and homeless community in the Eugene, Oregon area. I paired it with my Narnia teacup and some gluten-free chocolate chip cookies I baked.
Fae wine was a fruity green tea that hit the spot when I was craving exactly that. As a huge fae nerd I couldn’t pass up getting at least one fae tea. I admit I’m not a roobois fan, but I enjoyed the honeybush Red London. The bright red of the honeybush certainly fit the Red London name. I definitely bought this tea to match my A Darker Shade of Magic teacup from my LitJoy crate.
I still have two black teas to try. Delicious Duke inspired by Bridgerton, and The Ringmaster inspired by The Night Circus. I love flavored black teas so I’m really looking forward to finally breaking them out. I also loved the gorgeous prose of The Night Circus.
If you have a favorite book-themed tea or tea shop let me know about it!
